Abby - The Movie

Here is her first movie.

Home Sweet Home!

We made it home on Saturday 4/24! After a long day/night on Friday with the bili lights/phototherapy (which was NOT fun for any of us, specifically baby Abigail), her bilirubin levels were much improved so we were discharged in the afternoon. She loves her new digs and is doing really well just being loved on and cuddled. Feedings are going really well (we are doing some formula still to make sure the bilirubins stay down) and Evan has been so great with it all. He does most diaper changes and does all the bottle feeds while I nurse/pump. It's been busy but fun. Will post more pics soon but wanted everyone to know we made it home safe and sound!!

Introducing...the one and only....Abigail Elizabeth Conn!

Hey Everyone...so sorry it has taken us so long to do ANYTHING online since she arrived...but we promise to try and be better! Abigail was born on Wed. 4/21 at 6:31PM...she weighed 7lb 8oz and was 20 inches long. She has very long fingers and feet/toes like her mommy. I think she looks more like Evan right now. She is SO beautiful and precious. Absolutely perfect!! We couldn't have asked for a better baby. Right now, we are still at the hospital. She has a high bilirubin (jaundice) and is under the bili lights at least until tomorrow but maybe even at home for a few days after. I hate it for her...she has to wear these goggles so the light doesn't hurt her little eyes and she doesn't like them at all. She can't be swaddled under the lights so she startles alot...but it's so sweet...she will calm down as soon as she hears my voice. I love it! She's a snuggly little thing and LOVES to be loved on. We can only hold her right now while she's being fed so I try to breast feed her for 20min and then Evan gets 10min w/ the bottle. The formula is what we hope to get her past this jaundice issue...she needs lots of nutrition and fluids to help so while my udders are getting ready for full production, we are supplementing. She takes it well so that is good...she now would rather just cuddle and snuggle up to me when I feed her but Evan is such a good dad...he has the job of stimulating her to stay awake! What a process!!! Hopefully it will only be for a few more days and we can get her out of here!!! Here are a few pics from birth...oh, and that was not really fun. She was faced sideways in me so ended up coming out with some assistance from a hoover (vacuum). But we did it and here she is!!!!!

Anxiously Awaiting!!!

Today is 3 days post due date and obviously we are not too busy (hence, the blog) and we are anxiously awaiting Baby Abigail's arrival. She is showing us who is boss already by doing this her way...but if she doesn't get here by Wed., the docs are going to help her out with some Pitocin to get things going. The plan is to go in on Tues. PM for an early and busy day on Wed. We will send out an email to you all when she arrives but wanted you to have our new blog site so you can check here for any updates between now and then (hopefully 4/21). Thanks for all the love and support that have gotten us to this point in our lives! We are truly blessed to have friends and family like you!

Love, Kim and Evan
