17 months!!

I am SUCH a big girl now! I'm 17 months old...but I'll tell you that I'm 2 if you ask me how old I am!!!! I have SO many words now...every day I say something new! I'm starting to put a few words together too. The other day, when I was getting out of the car, I kissed my pap-pap (pacifier) and said, "Bye-bye to pap-pap". I still love those pap paps alot....but am only allowed to have them at night, naps and in the car...mommy and daddy have their work cut out for them trying to figure out how to take those away from me! We went on a trip last month up to New York and I got to see where my mommy was born and went to kindergarten. I even got to meet my great Grandma Scott. We had lots of fun with all of mommy's family there. I went to my first concert a few weeks ago...Sesame Street Live. I love Elmo. I love to watch Elmo on tv, play with my Elmo toys and read my Elmo books. I love that furry red guy for reasons unknown to my mommy and daddy...

We are going to do some more family pictures in October with the nice lady who took my pictures when I was only 9 days old. I even made it on the front of her website so I know I am really special:) Her name is Diana Toone and her website is www.jonesyraephotography.com. She even has some parties going on right now! 15 months!

We went to FL for mommy's class reunion this past weekend and I got to stay with my Grammie and Grampa! Aunt Holly and Cousin Jack came to visit me too. We had so much fun...I wish I lived closer to them and could see them more. I had my first swim lesson at Grammie's house...I wasn't a big fan of that, as you can see by some of my pics. I prefer daddy throwing me up in the air instead. Went to play with Jackson and Luke one day too:) Wished we'd had longer to play! Enjoy the recent pics of me...I'm a big girl now! 14 months old!

Hey Everyone! I am a big 14 month old now! I love to walk, even try to run all the time. No crawling for quite some time now. I'm doing so well at daycare...mostly taking 2-2 1/2 hour naps! I will eat anything...but my favorites right now are bananas (and I can eat an entire one in about 20 seconds), peas, cheese and pasta! I can eat an entire kids meal of fettucine alfredo...seriously. At my last pediatrician visit I was 21 lb 3 oz and 29 1/4 inches long. I am talking alot now too...I've gone from "mama" to "mommy" in the last few days. I say please and thank you and even at the right times! We took a little trip to Savannah a few weekends ago and I got to swim at the beach and in the pool. I loved seeing my cousins Brendan and Maddie too! We are headed down to FL to visit with mommy's family and her old high school friends at her class reunion in July. I am super excited! I'm 1 year old!

How time flies...it is amazing to think that Abigail Elizabeth Conn graced the world with her presence 1 year ago! April 21, 2010 was the best day of our lives...and every day since we have been blessed with her joy and happiness. Now it seems like we've always had her around...she is such a sweet baby and despite her ability to play hard and be extremely busy, we love every moment with her! She had a fun birthday party at our house with family and friends. One of our previous posts was about her becoming a big sister...which we pray she will someday become. However, it won't be in September as we had thought...we lost her little sister on 4/15. We are sad that this has happened but we have sweet Abigail to focus all of our love on right now. Abby continues to amaze us every day with her ability to make us laugh at the smallest things. Her new tricks include putting up 1 finger when you ask how old she is, taking a few steps by herself, and saying about 10 or so words, including mama, dada, fish, dog, cat, clock and some derivation of "Elmo". She loves that furry red guy for some reason...and that big purple dinosaur too named Barney. Daddy can't stand the purple guy but sometimes we just have to put him on so she will be content:) She eats really well...all table foods. Her favorites are peas and cheese. She's not a big fan of the whole milk yet out of the sippy cup but we and the daycare are working on that! Abby's had several ear infections that led us to the ENT doctor this week...so we may end up with some ear tubes but we are trying one last round of Amoxil this week (after 3 Rocephin shots last week) to get rid of them. I think she has mommy and daddy's ear plumbing...both of us remember having lots of ear issues when we were little (though our moms don't seem to think we did). 11 months old (a little late:)

Hey Everyone...it's hard to believe that our little girl is going to be one soon! She is actually now 2 weeks shy of 1 but it's been busy here so hence the late post. Abigail keeps mommy and daddy very busy. We have now had to officially babyproof the house. Well, we are still working on it. Our little stair climber made it necessary for a gate to be put up so she can't crawl over to the stairs 20 times in a row to climb them. She is SO ready to walk now...and took her first 3 steps on Sat. 3/26...walking from mommy to daddy! We were so thrilled to both be able to see this huge milestone! Not that she has done is since, but she is getting very ready. She stands without holding on for a while...and is cruising around the furniture. At daycare, she has just this week been "promoted" to the toddler room. I think they did it a little early because she's been spending her days crawling under the cribs and trying to push them across the room. Our monkey girl is doing SO well in the new room. She has taken 1 1/2 -2 hour naps all week...a first for her! She is usually a 30 minute napper...so we are SO excited to see if she still does this on the weekend so mommy can get some stuff done around here! We are anxiously awaiting our big news for tomorrow...finding out if Abby is going to be a big sister to a brother or sister! And staying busy w/ our first birthday party plans:)))

10 months old and....

I'm gonna be a big sister! I have NO idea what this means but mommy is 10 weeks pregnant and due in September with a little brother or sister. We are all excited and I am going to have someone to grow up with and play with all the time! I will probably torture him/her at first but mommy and daddy will just have to watch me closely:) As for me, I am getting to be such a big girl. I am very animated now. My newest thing is "How big is Abby?" and I grab my head! Mommy and daddy always laugh when I do it so sometimes I just do it to make them laugh. I am pulling up on everything now so I can't be left alone for even one minute. I'm starting to eat people food now too. I had my first pancake the other day and loved it. I've got another ear infection and I'm on Augmentin right now which I'm not too fond of but mommy and daddy are sneaking it into me in blueberry yogurt. Yum! 9 months old!

Hey Everyone! I am 9 months old today...and SUCH a good and sweet girl. I have learned so much this past month...I am making fishy mouth kisses, I wave on command and I love to clap! I am "crawling" everywhere now. I've graduated to taking my naps on a cot at daycare (to transition to the big girl room at age 1!). I still don't take much in the way of a nap...30-40 minutes twice a day. But I am sleeping well at night so mommy and daddy are okay with that. I'm eating lots of baby foods now...and I hate green beans and peas. I will make myself gag and vomit when I eat them....so for now, we just do all the orange/yellow veggies. Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hey Everyone...I am now 8 months old and celebrated my first Christmas today. I had so much fun! We were here in Atlanta and it is snowing right now! I went outside for all of 15 seconds so daddy could take some pictures of me but it was too wet and cold to stay out long. I enjoyed opening my presents from mommy and daddy and Mimi/Papa. I love my new ball pit...I played in it all day. My new tricks?? I am crawling/scooting to where I want to be...and I can wave bye bye now...but not so much on command. I can shake my head no...but I am not really being defiant, just cute:) I'm getting so big now...well over 19 pounds and probably 29 inches? We'll see at my 9 month check up soon!

Tis the season!

Hey Everyone...tis the season to be 7 months old already! I'm sitting up really well and rolling everywhere...haven't figured out the crawling thing yet but mommy and daddy say they are okay with that! I've got 2 teeth now and I'm eating some yummy foods..started with rice cereal, then sweet potatoes, carrots, bananas and some prunes today (too much cereal and bananas:). Mommy and daddy are making the food themselves so far...we'll see how long that lasts! I had my first Thanksgiving and it was so much fun! We went up and stayed w/ Mimi and Papa (in Roswell, 20 minutes away) for 3 nights. Uncle Darren, Aunt Stephanie, Brendan and Maddie were there too. I got to play alot and had lots of people wanting to hold me...we even went to the park and I went on my first swing and slide. I am so excited for the month of December...we are going to spend my first Christmas here in Atlanta and start our new tradition. Mommy is gung ho that she is going to deck the halls...and I'll probably just try to put all the decorations in my mouth. We will head to Grammie and Grampa's house for New Years and get to see Uncle Pete, Aunt Holly and Cousin Jack too. I am such a blessing and mommy and daddy just love me to pieces. Happy Halloween!

Hi all...well, I survived my first Halloween experience just fine! Mommy and Daddy took me trick or treating with Uncle Judd/Aunt Heidi/Jacob and Coleman. We had lots of fun and I was the cutest pink bunny you ever saw. I chewed on my carrot all night! Until I fell asleep of course...

I had my 6 month shots today and I am so big! I was 27 3/4 inches (off the charts!) and 16 lb 14oz which is between the 50-75% for my age. Looks like I'll be long and skinny:) I did, however, also get my first ear infection. I've had a cold for about a week with a cough and ended up with an ear infection. I started an antibiotic today so I was not in a good mood today but I'm sleeping soundly now! Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow!!

Just wanted to update you all with my newest pictures...and did I tell you that I say "mama" all the time...someone around here says it is music to her ears:) Thanks for checking in!

6 months old!!!

Hey Everyone...sorry it's been so long since we updated our blog. Mommy says she will be better about it:) I am such a big girl now...I am 6 months old! I like to sit up by myself and I even started some rice cereal yesterday. I like the spoon more than the food but that's okay. We went to Hilton Head Island for a week and I was baptized at the church where mommy and daddy got married 2 years ago. I was such a good girl and I enjoyed seeing all my cousins/aunts/uncles/grandparents. Mommy and I stayed with Grammie and Grampa for a week after the baptism. It was so much fun. The mamarazzi was in full force there...I think there are 400 new pictures of me but here are only a few:) Thanks for checking in to see how big I've gotten!
